Is there an open source/freeware software that I can write test plans in, and track my testing?
Does anyone know of any open source or freeware test plan writing utilities where I can input my test cases and parameters (sort of like a database) and track my test plans?
I am not a software guru, and when I did a search on google, I came across software or web testing tools which I am not interested in.

If you are looking for a database you could download the openoffice suite by going to www.openoffice.org it comes with all the same things as microsoft office suite and it's 100% free. I downloaded it and I love it.
