What Is ClearQuest Test Management (CQTM)
Clear Quest Manegement is a test management bundle applied to Rational ClearQuest,integrated with IBM Rational RequisitePro for requirements management.It is as well integrated with desktop products for test designing, test authoring, test execution, and test reporting.

Test Management Model (TMM)
Rational ClearQuest Test Manager is a feature that manages the phases of a testing environment:
1. Test plans
2. Test cases
3. Test requirements
4. Test configurations
5. Test scripts
6. Test results
Test plans discover test cases, which defines the ways in which users are likely to use the software application. Test scripts are written to ascertain that the requirements for the test cases are met. The results came back when the test scripts run are appraised to determine project status, particularly, the progress towards completing the work represented by the following milestone in the project. The hierarchical relationship between these files, documents, and data is laid out by records in a Rational ClearQuest database. The records in the database are arranged in a test planning hierarchy.
IBM ClearQuest Test Manager supports 3 phases of validation:
Planning
The asset registry record is created first: test plan, test case, and configured test case records are then created to support the planning hierarchy.
Authoring
Test scripts are produced and associated with test case and configured test case records.
Execution
Designed test case or test suite records are ran and then test results are reviewed; whenever useful, the results are committed to the IBM IBM ClearQuest database to create test log and suite log records.
