This article describes the roles and responsibilities for each Qulaity Assurance (SQA) person assigned to a Software Project.
SAM (Systems Assurance Manager)
Duties include, but are not limited to:
·    Assure and manage SQ personnel resource levels
·    Ascertain that SQ personnel have business office space and the suitable tools to carry SQ activities
·    Provide as a whole guidelines and direction to the SQ personnel accountable for executing software quality activities and appraisals
·    Provide Assurance Management Office with weekly and quarterly software status.
·    Help SQ personnel in the closure of any non-compliances, issues and/or risks discovered as a result of software quality actions
·    Escalate whatever noncompliances to project management team.
Software Quality Personnel
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
·    Prepare and manage the project software system quality assurance plan
·    Create and keep a schedule of software quality assurance conducted activities
·    Lead process and product assessments, as depicted within this plan, using objective standards
·    Interface with Safety, Reliability, and IV&V personnel on software system assurance activities
·    Discover and document non-compliances, observations, and risks from all software assurance related activities to the Systems Assurance Manager
·    Communication of results from assessments with crucial stakeholders
·    Ascertain resolution of non-compliances and escalate any issues that cannot be decided within the project
·    Discover lessons learned that could improve processes for future projects.
·    Prepare and manage metrics
Other OSSMA (Office of Systems Safety and Mission Assurance) Personnel
The following are the elementary responsibilities for Safety and Reliability personnel in support of software system assurance.
Safety Personnel
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
·    Cater system software safety expertise to the SQ personnel and/or project personnel, as needed
·    Assistance in the appraisal of the various software development efforts in terms of meeting applicable software safety standards and requirements
·    Aid in the resolution of any software safety related issues, concerns, and/or risks discovered throughout the project life cycle
·    Assist in the review of different life cycle related artifacts as they relate to system software safety
Reliability Personnel
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
·    Provide software reliability expertness to the SQ personnel and/or project personnel, as needed.  Aid in the assessment of the various software system development efforts in terms of fulfilling applicable software reliability standards and prerequisites
·    Aid in the resolution of any software reliability related issues, concerns, and/or risks identified in the end-to-end software life cycle
·    Help in the review of various life cycle associated artifacts as they pertain to software reliableness
