Resolved Question

Would a computerization project automatically envision "overnight regression testing", "automated testing",?
perhaps "background confidence checks" ? If resultant system is "enhanced", would the project still encompass such checks ?

Won't it often be that there is a "contract amendment" to add new functionality ? Won't it often be the case that proper re-testing will be much more expensive than what is charged for in the "contract amendment". So proper re-testing does not take place. So although the original contract envisioned such capabilities as "overnight regression testing" and "automated testing", these capabilities are not present in the system as amended and delivered ?

  • not so much background confidence checks but underground expedience checks. Here's what you do. Go out into your backyard and dig a deep hole then climb in and cover yourself up. If anyone asks what the hell you think you're doing, say "nothin'" and climb out. You can finish it up later.
